What would life be without art? Without being able to express yourself in creative way?
Can you imagine how dull and depressing it will all be? To just go to work, watch TV and do mundane stuff all the time?
Life is so different when you find the artist in you and let it out, because this is how you connect with your soul. This is how you learn to speak your heart and share it with the world.
The beauty is not in the spoken word. It’s in the expression of the soul in some sort of creative way. It’s about how you can touch others. Doesn’t matter what you do.
Be it singing, cooking, writing, making music, drawing, the way you look at people, the way you give love, how you care…
It’s all art. And it’s so sad that nowadays art has gotten so twisted and so much of it has nothing to do with expressing yourself and what’s in your heart. It’s more about doing something that’s popular and fashionable and people will like.
Art is supposed to make people think and feel something. It has to inspire them, it has to bring back memories, it has to make them cry, it has to make them awe, not just say yeah that’s so cool and hip.
Art has to be raw, and weird and random and it has to tell a story, not sell a product. It’s supposed to make people feel something.
It has to touch you. It has to show you something buried inside of you. It has to bring fourth a desire to do something, to feel deeply.
There is an artist living inside in each and everyone of us, but we’ve gotten to the point in our society where there is no time and desire for art, because it rarely puts food on the table.
And most of us are on survival mode trying our best to stay alive and not starve. But the soul does not need food. You can never feed the soul with food, because it does not need physical food.
Our ancestors left so much art for us to marvel at and what are we doing now in the 21st century? What happened to art? What happened to people? What we are going to leave behind for the future generations?
That’s scary thought that i don’t even want to entertain..
We can always find a little time for art. We have to. We owe it to ourselves. We owe it to the future generations.
You never know how you are going to change someone’s life with a piece of your heart.
And you don’t have to know when and how it will happen. Just pour it out. Write a letter, sign a song, share you story, put together some notes, draw a picture, take a picture. Do it without thinking about certain outcome. Do it for the sake of doing it!
There is so much beauty in every single one of us and all too often we are afraid to show it!
Let us be not afraid of our light! Let light this world up!
